La sua strategia didattica \u00e8 basata essenzialmente sul peer learning per rafforzare il coinvolgimento degli studenti e l\u2019apprendimento efficace e duraturo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conferenziere di fama internazionale, affianca all\u2019attivit\u00e0 di ricerca in fisica quella di formatore e innovatore pedagogico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ha ricevuto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti per l\u2019innovazione apportata nella metodologia didattica tra i quali, nel 2014, il <a href=\"http:\/\/institute.minervaproject.com\/\">\u00a0Minerva Prize for Advancements in Higher Education<\/a> con questa motivazione:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cHe has used a scientist\u2019s mindset to formulate and perfect a new approach to teaching that complements what we already know about how students learn. That\u2019s catching on internationally because it prepares graduates to engage with difficult problems beyond the classroom walls.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il suo libro \u201cPeer Instruction: A User\u2019s Manual\u201d (1997) &nbsp;sul peer learning ha ispirato molti docenti in tutto il mondo a ripensare la propria metodologia didattica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nel suo famoso video<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rvw68sLlfF8\"> \u201cConfessions of a converted lecturer\u201d<\/a> (2009) dice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>&#8220;I thought I was a good teacher until I discovered my students were just memorizing information rather than learning to understand the material. Who was to blame? The students? The material? I will explain how I came to the agonizing conclusion that the culprit was neither of these. It was my teaching that caused students to fail!
